Civilian Police Review Board almost ready to take off its training wheels
Chair Janet Jackson opted to continue training sessions over reviewing the first cases at the December meeting.
The moment the voters of Columbus have all been waiting for since they approved Section 215 of the Columbus City Charter on November 3, 2020, once again, didn’t happen. The first Civilian Police Review Board, approved that day, was seated in August of 2021 but has yet to review any community member complaints against Columbus police officers.
